Because this is a farm & mill we are available most of the time –

we go away to a few weekend shows.

Give us a call or email about when you would like to come by,

or just stop in anytime if it is on your way.

Today the shop includes fiber arts materials and supplies along

with some antiques/collectibles, handmade soaps, felted items,

                    and unique re-purposed metal works.

We carry fiber from other local farms including Finn Sheep,

                                 llama, & Angora yarns.

Our farm - located in the lakes region of central Maine - it grew from two 6 month old Angora goats 24 years ago

to a total of 30 assorted goats. The primary purpose of the farm is to raise healthy, vigorous animals that produce

interesting mohair for spinning and that enrich our lives with their antics and charm.

Friendz Blendz is our line of Mohair/Wool blend specialty

various New England fiber shows and festivals, and now on-line.

We carry basic equipment, supplies and books for spinning,

dyeing, knitting, locker hooking, & felting.

2012 Shows & Festivals

A list of shows and festivals we will be participating in this year with dates and links to sites

with more general show information.

Spin Group Projects & Challenges

We have a spin group that meets, or tries to, in the fall, winter, and spring.

Check out the photo gallery showing what members have done.

Some are challenges and others are individual projects (when we remember to take the camera out).

Goat Meat

Our shop carries our own farm grown goat meat in leg, chops, breakfast sausage, ground, and stew meat cuts.

Goat is a very lean red meat with a taste between venison and beef.

It is high in protein and low in fat compared to other red meats with similar nutrients as chicken (but it tastes much better).

Rabbits

We raise a line of multi-colored Cross rabbits for pets, pelts, and meat.   Eight to 12 week old bunnies are available from May to November for pets or breeding stock.  These hardy rabbits live outdoors year round next to the garden.  They snack on fresh greens when available and hay off season.  We do not breed during the winter months.  Check out some of our favorite Rabbit Recipes
