2012 Fiber Festivals & Events

 Some of these are gatherings of fiber animal raisers, fiber enthusiasts –

spinners, weavers, rug hookers, knitters, & fiber artists. 

Others are traditional Maine fairs, many of which have a growing fiber presence in the exhibition halls,

 animals exhibited, and demonstrations given.

There are vendors selling items from stock handling equipment  to fine

                              lace shawls and demonstrations from herding dogs to rug hooking. 

                    The shows include a variety of fiber bearing animals - sheep, alpaca, angora goats,

                           cashmere goats, llamas, angora rabbits, and occasionally even a yak;

                       all of their fibers are available to touch and buy.
