Spring Workshops Listed April 6 - Getting Started Dyeing April 13 - Getting started with Goats
Winter Hours:
Saturdays 10 AM - 4 PM
Other times by chance or appointment Because this is a farm & mill we are available most of the time – we go away to a few weekend shows. Give us a call or email about when you would like to come by, or just stop in anytime if it is on your way.
Our farm - located in the lakes region of central Maine - grew from two 6 month old Angora goats 24 years ago to a total of 30 assorted goats. The primary purpose of the farm is to raise healthy, vigorous animals that produce interesting mohair for spinning and that enrich our lives with their antics and charm.
Friendz Blendz is our line of Mohair/Wool blend specialty dyed roving & yarns. We have developed our own line of easy patterns for scarves, hats, mittens, and sweaters, many are available as kits. These are available at the farm, various New England fiber shows and festivals, and now on-line. We carry basic equipment, supplies and books for spinning, dyeing, knitting, locker hooking, & felting. If you have seen us at a show and want our products – we ship anywhere in the USA
We have registered & unregistered white, colored, and color carrying breeding stock. We also sell wethers (neutered males) for pets and handspinners' flocks.
Each summer we have dairy cross meat goat kids for sale. Draft goat information and resource list is also available here.
We conduct workshops in getting started spinning, dyeing, & felting, basic cheese making, soap making, weaving, and goat care. Come join us on the farm to get started. A list of shows and festivals we will be participating in this year with dates and links to sites with more general show information.
Rabbits We raise a line of multi-colored Cross rabbits for pets, pelts, and meat. Eight to 12 week old bunnies are available from May to November for pets or breeding stock. These hardy rabbits live outdoors year round next to the garden. They snack on fresh greens when available and hay off season. We do not breed during the winter months.
